Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- packed dark brown sugar - 1 c
- light corn syrup - 1 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- melted butter - 1 Tbsp
- unbaked 9-inch pie shell
How to make southern pecan pie:
Beat eggs until light. Add brown sugar, gradually mixing well. Stir in syrup, salt, vanilla, pecans and butter. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until crust is lightly brown. Yields 6 servings.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
