Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- granulated sugar - 3/4 c
- unbaked 9-inch pastry shell - 1 item
- dash of salt - 1 item
- melted butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- white corn syrup - 3/4 c
How to make southern pecan pie:
Beat eggs thoroughly. Add sugar, syrup and salt. Mix well. Add melted butter and vanilla. Beat well. Put chopped pecans in bottom of pie shell. Pour mixture over nuts. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes; lower temperature to 300° and bake 35 minutes loRecipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
