Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • pecan halves - 1 c
  • dark corn syrup - 1 c
  • margarine, melted - 2 Tbsp
  • 9-inch unbaked pie shell - 1 item

How to make southern pecan pie:

Place pecan halves in bottom of pie shell. Beat eggs slightly. Mix in corn syrup, sugar, margarine, vanilla and salt. Gently pour into pie shell. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Lower temperature to 350° and cook an additional 30 minutes.
