- salt and pepper - 1 item
- frozen cut green beans
- cup finely chopped onion - 1/4 item
- slices of bacon - 6 item
How to make southern green beans:
Cook bacon until crispy and set aside. In the hot bacon drippings add the frozen beans, stirring to coat. Cover and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes. Add the onion and season with salt and pepper. Cover and continue to cook until beans are tender and have turned a dark green. Crumble bacon on top and serve.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Green/yellow beans.
