Southern corn pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- can evaporated milk - 1 oz
- can creamed corn - 1 oz
- can whole corn - 1 oz
How to make southern corn pudding:
Preheat oven to 350°. Drain liquid off whole corn. Melt butter in small pan.Mix all ingredients together in a 2 to 2 1/2-quart casserole dish. Cover. Bake until all liquid has thickened, about 2 hours or more.
Note: Never stir this casserole while cooking since it will not thicken if stirred. Check for thickness by shaking the bowl back and forth and check center for any liquid. Serves 6 to 8.
