- baking powder
- all-purpose flour
- cold milk - 1 c
- cold butter or margarine - 3/4 c
How to make southern biscuit muffins:
Preheat oven to 400°. Grease 12 (2 1/2-inch) muffin cups. (These muffins brown better on the sides and bottom when baked without paper liners.) In large bowl, combine flour, sugar and baking powder. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk just until flour mixture is moistened. Spoon into muffin cups. Bake 20 minutes or until golden. Remove from pan. Cool on wire rack.
