Ingredients/Components

  • sour cream - 1/2 c
  • garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
  • chili powder - 1 tsp
  • lettuce leaves optional - 1 item
  • catsup - 2 Tbsp
  • lean ground beef - 1 1
  • ground cumin - 1/4 tsp
  • small onion - 1 item
  • tomato slices optional - 1 item
  • can green chilies optional - 1 oz
  • hard rolls or onion buns, split and toasted - 6 item

How to make south of the border burgers:

Combine first six ingredients, the beef, onion, catsup and spices. Mix thoroughly. Shape into six patties. Grill over medium-hot coals to desired doneness. Spread 2 tablespoons of combined sour cream, catsup and chilies on bottom half of each roll. Place burgers on top. Top with additional sauce, lettuce and tomato if desired. Top with remainder of rolls or buns.
