Sourdough coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- brown sugar
- oil - 1/2 c
- soda - 3/4 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- egg - 1 item
- chopped nuts optional - 1 item
- plain flour - 1 c
How to make sourdough coffee cake:
Coffee Cake:1 c. plain flour1/2 c. sugar3/4 tsp. soda1/2 c. oil1 1/2 tsp. vanilla1 egg pinch of salt Topping:1/2 c. brown sugar2 Tbsp. flour1 tsp. cinnamon1/2 stick margarine chopped nuts (optional) Mix first three ingredients and put into bowl. Cover with foil and make hole the size of quarter. Put in refrigerator for 24 hours.Use 1 cup of sourdough mixture and mix with next 7 ingredients. Pour into well-greased round dish.
Mix topping ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over cake mixture. Let stand 20 to 30 minutes before baking. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
