Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt
- flour - 6 c
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- yeast - 1 pkg
- Wesson oil - 3/4 c
- lukewarm water - 1 c
How to make sourdough biscuits:
Mix together buttermilk, Wesson oil and sugar. Dissolve yeast in water and mix with buttermilk mixture. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Then add to liquid, a little at a time. Mix well. Store covered in refrigerator. You do not have to let rise before baking. Bake at 350° until done.Recipe categories: Breads, Southwestern u.s., Rolls/biscuits.
