Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • salt
  • flour - 6 c
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • baking powder - 4 tsp
  • yeast - 1 pkg
  • Wesson oil - 3/4 c
  • lukewarm water - 1 c

How to make sourdough biscuits:

Mix together buttermilk, Wesson oil and sugar. Dissolve yeast in water and mix with buttermilk mixture. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Then add to liquid, a little at a time. Mix well. Store covered in refrigerator. You do not have to let rise before baking. Bake at 350° until done.
