Sourdough biscuits
Ingredients/Components
- yeast - 1 pkg
- warm water - 1 c
- self-rising flour - 6 c
- sugar - 1/2 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- sour milk add 1 Tbsp - 2 c
How to make sourdough biscuits:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix all dry ingredients together. Cut in Crisco and add yeast and milk; mix well. Let set in refrigerator until needed. Drop by spoonful or roll in flour. Bake at 450° until brown.Recipe categories: Breads, Southwestern u.s., Rolls/biscuits.
