Ingredients/Components

  • yeast - 1 pkg
  • warm water - 1 c
  • self-rising flour - 6 c
  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • sour milk add 1 Tbsp - 2 c

How to make sourdough biscuits:

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix all dry ingredients together. Cut in Crisco and add yeast and milk; mix well. Let set in refrigerator until needed. Drop by spoonful or roll in flour. Bake at 450° until brown.
