Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • sour cream - 8 oz
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • all purpose flour - 4 c
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • warm water - 1/2 c
  • dry yeast - 2 pkg
  • butter or 1 stick margarine - 1/2 c

How to make sour cream rolls:

Dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside. Place butter in small sauce pan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream and sugar. Cool to lukewarm. Pour into a large mixing bowl and add yeast mixture, salt and eggs. Add flour and mix well. Cover and refrigerate until time to use. When ready to use punch down dough, roll out and place on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise in a warm place free from draft until double in bulk. About an hour. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes or until brown. Yield 4 dozen.
