Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- eggs, separated - 6 item
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- sticks butter - 2 item
- nuts if desired - 1 item
- sour cream 1 c - 1/2 pt
How to make sour cream pound cake:
Cream sugar and butter. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well. Add salt and vanilla. Add soda to sour cream and add to ingredients with flour. Fold in stiff egg whites. Pour into tubed pan (greased and floured) and bake 1 1/2 hours at 350°. Place on damp cloth for 10 minutes.In memory of Mrs. Flonnie Carter and Mrs. Beulah Timmons.
