Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- Crisco - 1 c
- cake flour - 3 c
- lemon extract - 1 tsp
- stick butter not margarine - 1/2 item
- Add the other ingredients and beat for 4 minutes
How to make sour cream pound cake:
Cream shortening, sour cream and sugar. Add the other ingredients and beat for 4 minutes. Important: beat for exactly 4 minutes. Pour into greased and floured Bundt or tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Check after 1 hour. Good without frosting!Frosting:1/2 box confectioners sugar1 tsp. lemon extract2 Tbsp. milk1 tsp. vanilla1/2 stick butter (not margarine) Heat over low heat and pour over warm cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Cakes.
