Ingredients/Components
- eggs, separated - 6 item
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- almond extract - 2/3 tsp
- carton sour cream - 1 c
- cake flour - 3 c
- sticks oleo or butter - 2 item
- sugar save one to beat with egg whites - 3 c
How to make sour cream pound cake:
Cream 2 cups sugar with butter. Add beaten egg yolks. Mix flavoring and soda with sour cream and add alternately with dry ingredients and the creamed mixture. Beat egg whites with remaining cup of sugar and fold into batter. Bake in preheated 300° oven for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours. (You do not have to grease pan.)Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Cakes.
