  • sugar - 1 c
  • milk - 1 c
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
  • grated lemon rind
  • fresh lemon juice - 1/2 c
  • egg yolks, slightly beaten - 3 item
  • baked 9-inch pie shell - 1 item
  • heavy whipping cream, whipped - 1 c
  • cultured sour cream - 1 c
  • lemon twists for garnish optional - 1 item

How to make sour cream-lemon pie:

Combine sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, egg yolks and milk in heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thick. Stir in butter and lemon rind and cool mixture to room temperature. Stir in sour cream and pour filling into pie shell. Cover with whipped cream and garnish with lemon twists. Store in refrigerator.
