Sour cream cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• sour cream - 3/4 c
• salt - 1 tsp
• nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
• baking powder
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 1 c
• sifted flour

How to make sour cream cookies:

Work shortening until creamy. Stir in sugar gradually. Add egg and beat well. Add sour cream. Mix well. Add remaining dry ingredients. Chill overnight. Roll and cut with cookie cutters. Brush cookies with egg whites. Add sprinkles before baking. Bake at 350° until light brown, about 10 to 12 minutes.
