Sour cream coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- dairy sour cream - 1 c
- baking powder - 1/4 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- sifted flour
- softened butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- melted butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
- Add sour cream and vanilla; blend well
How to make sour cream coffee cake:
Beat egg until frothy; beat in sugar and butter or margarine; cream until fluffy. Add sour cream and vanilla; blend well. Sift dry ingredients together; add to sour cream mixture. Blend thoroughly. Pour into greased 8-inch square pan. Sprinkle brown sugar topping evenly over batter. Bake in moderate oven (375°) for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Serve warm.
