Sour cream coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1/2 pt
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- margarine - 1/2 lb
- white sugar
How to make sour cream coffee cake:
Cream 1 cup sugar and margarine. Add eggs. Add sour cream and vanilla to dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture. Combine remaining sugar and nuts. Put half of batter in well-greased tube pan. Pour in half of sugar-nut mixture. Add remaining batter and remaining topping. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes in a 10-inch tube pan. Invert on plate when cool.Instead of using a tube pan, this can be baked in a greased 9 x 12-inch glass baking dish at 325° (not sure how long to be baked).
