- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/4 c
- plus 1 Tbsp - 2 c
- mashed bananas - 1 c
How to make sour cream banana cake:
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, blending thoroughly. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture, alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Add bananas and pecans, mixing until well blended. Spoon batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool and frost with cream cheese frosting.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Bananas.
