Sour cream banana bars
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 3 Tbsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- margarine, softened - 1/2 c
- powdered sugar - 2 c
- mashed bananas
- Grease and flour jelly roll pan
How to make sour cream banana bars:
Heat oven to 375°. Grease and flour jelly roll pan. Mix sugar, sour cream, margarine and eggs in large bowl on low speed, scraping bowl occasionally, for 1 minute. Beat in bananas and vanilla on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat in remaining dry ingredients on medium speed, scraping bowl, for 1 minute. Stir in nuts. Spread batter in pan. Bake until light brown, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool. Frost with Brown Butter Frosting. Cut into 2 x 1 1/2 inch bars. Yields 48 bars.Brown Butter Frosting For Sour Cream Banana Bars:1/4 c. margarine2 c. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla3 Tbsp. milk Heat margarine over medium heat in saucepan until delicate brown.
