Sour cream apple pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- packed brown sugar - 1/4 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- 8 oz - 1 c
- all-purpose flour, divided - 6 Tbsp
- chopped, peeled cooking apples - 3 c
- unbaked pie shells 9-inch, deep dish - 2 item
How to make sour cream apple pie:
In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add sour cream. Stir in sugar, 1 tablespoon of flour, vanilla and salt; mix well. Stir in apples. Pour into pie shells. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes.Meanwhile, combine butter, brown sugar and remaining flour. Sprinkle over top of pie. Return to oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until filling is set. Cool completely on a wire rack. Serve or cover and refrigerate.
