Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chili powder - 1 Tbsp
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • onion - 1/2 c
  • sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded - 3/4 c
  • can red kidney beans with liquid - 1 oz
  • hot salsa may substitute medium or mild - 1/2 c

How to make sombrero spread:

Brown meat and onion in skillet. Stir in salsa, chili powder and salt. Mash in beans; heat thoroughly. Garnish with cheese.

Serving Ideas: Serve hot as a spread for tostados or Doritos.
