Soft raisin cookies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 tsp
- plain flour
- raisins - 2 c
How to make soft raisin cookies:
Combine raisins and water in small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cook 3 minutes. Cool; do not drain. In mixing bowl, cream shortening. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla, then add dry ingredients to cream mixture; cream well. Stir in nuts and raisins. Drop by teaspoon 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
