Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cold water - 4 Tbsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- Cool Whip - 1 (13
- Knox gelatine - 2 Tbsp
- angel food cake - 1 (7
- 2 can crushed pineapple all
- 1/2 lemon juice - 1 item
- box or small can Angel Flake coconut - 1 item
- cherries for decorating top - 1 item
How to make snowball cake:
Soften gelatine in cold water; add boiling water and stir until dissolved. Add sugar, lemon juice and pineapple. Chill until partially set. Fold half the Cool Whip into the gelatine mixture. Tear up the angel food cake in small pieces (not crumbs).Using a 9 x 13-inch pan or larger (I use a 10 x 12-inch Corning baking pan), put layer of gelatine mix in bottom of dish, then put all the cake over this. Then spread the last of the gelatine mix over this. Then sprinkle all the coconut on top of this and place cherries on top, so one will be on each piece. Cover with cellophane and refrigerate until used.
