Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • margarine - 1 c
  • cream of tartar - 2 tsp
  • fine coconut - 1/2 1

How to make snickerdoodles:

Baking Temperature: 350°. Baking Time: 8 minutes.

Cream together margarine and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Sift together the dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Add coconut. Chill dough. Form into small balls and roll in a mixture of: 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until lightly browned, but still soft. These cookies puff up at first and then flatten out with crumble tops. Yield: 4 1/2 dozen.
