Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- cream of tartar - 2 tsp
How to make snickerdoodles:
Mix thoroughly shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs and vanilla. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Mix 2 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon. Roll cookies in the cinnamon sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
