Snickerdoodles

Ingredients/Components

• sugar
• cinnamon - 2 Tbsp
• eggs - 2 item
• granulated sugar - 1/4 c
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• shortening - 1 c
• cream of tartar - 2 tsp

How to make snickerdoodles:

Preheat the oven to 400°. In a small bowl, mix the 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon and set aside. Combine shortening, sugar and egg. Mix together. Sift together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Add shortening to mixture. Roll dough into small balls and then roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture. Place the ball of dough on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
