Ingredients/Components
- round steak, cut in strips
- flour - 1/3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- large onion, sliced - 1 item
- to 2 green peppers, sliced - 1 item
- can stewed tomatoes - 1 oz
- can mushrooms, drained - 1 oz
- molasses - 2 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- cooked rice - 1 item
How to make smothered steak:
Put steak strips, flour, salt and pepper in crock-pot. Stir well to coat steak. Add all remaining ingredients, except rice. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, then low for 8 hours (can do on high for 5 hours). Serve over hot rice.Recipe categories: Low sodium, Meat, Beef.
