Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 item
- oil - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- fryer - 1 item
- small green onions with tops - 2 item
How to make smothered chicken:
Cut chicken as for frying. Salt and pepper on all sides. Brown quickly in hot oil. Pour off most of the oil. Add onion and celery; cover and cook about 5 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
