Smoked brisket
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 2 c
- garlic powder - 3 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
- onion salt - 3 Tbsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- liquid smoke - 3 Tbsp
- white vinegar - 1/4 c
- brisket - 6 8
- Let stand, covered, overnight
How to make smoked brisket:
Sprinkle brisket with the liquid smoke, garlic powder and onion salt. Let stand, covered, overnight. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Brush with Worcestershire sauce. Cover and bake 5 hours at 275°. Drain grease, if any.Sauce:1 c. ketchup1 tsp. salt1 tsp. celery seed1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce2 c. water1 onion, chopped1/4 c. white vinegar Boil sauce ingredients for 15 minutes. Pour over meat. Bake, uncovered, 1 hour longer. This freezes well.I got this recipe from Ray Edwards.
