Sliced baked potatoes

- melted butter - 2 3
- Parmesan cheese
- grated Cheddar cheese - 4 Tbsp
- medium even potatoes - 4 item
- chopped fresh herbs such as parsley, chives, thyme or sage or 2 to 3 tsp - 2 3
How to make sliced baked potatoes:
Peel potatoes if skin is tough, otherwise just scrub and rinse them. Cut potatoes in thin slices but not all the way through. Use a handle from a spoon to prevent knife from cutting all the way through. Put potatoes in a baking dish. Fan them slightly. Sprinkle with salt and drizzle with butter. Sprinkle with herbs. Bake potatoes at 425° for about 50 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cheeses. Bake potatoes for another 10 to 15 minutes until lightly browned, cheeses are melted and potatoes are soft inside. Check with a fork.Tip: You may use caraway seed or cumin in place of herbs, if desired. Use about 1 1/2 teaspoons for 4 large potatoes.
