- bacon drippings - 1 tsp
- medium onion, finely chopped - 1 item
- stalks celery, finely chopped - 3 item
- to 2 large green tomatoes, finely chopped - 1 item
- medium cabbage, finely chopped - 1/2 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
How to make skillet cabbage:
Melt bacon drippings in skillet. Add vegetables. Season with salt and pepper; mix well. Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes, or until cabbage is tender but crisp, stirring occasionally. Yields 4 servings.Recipe categories: Low protein, Side dish, Vegetables.
