Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- peanut oil - 2 Tbsp
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
- carrots, shredded - 5 item
- small head cabbage, chopped - 1 item
- slices cooked and crumbled bacon - 10 item
- shake of Louisiana hot sauce - 1 item
How to make skillet cabbage:
In a large skillet, add oil to heat, then add cabbage, carrots, bell pepper and onion. When done, add sugar, crumbled bacon, hot sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Cook 15 minutes; if you want crispy vegetables, do not cover pan. Cook until well blended.Recipe categories: Low protein, Side dish, Vegetables.
