Ingredients/Components
- pork sausage - 1 lb
- sliced raw potatoes
- sliced raw onion - 1/2 item
- sliced raw carrots - 1 c
- uncooked rice - 1/2 c
- canned tomatoes
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
How to make six layer casserole:
Partly cook sausage and drain off fat. Place sausage in 2-quart casserole and cover with layers of rice, potatoes, onions and carrots. Add tomatoes with juice. Combine salt, pepper and sugar and sprinkle over top. Cover casserole and bake at 350° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Beef.
