Sicilian meat loaf
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- cottage cheese - 1/2 c
- basil - 1/4 tsp
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- lean pork, ground - 3/4 lb
- lean beef, ground - 3/4 lb
- plum tomatoes, chopped save some - 6 item
- slice Prosciutto ham, chopped - 1 item
How to make sicilian meat loaf:
Mix all ingredients except ham and cheese. Put in baking dish and trench middle of loaf. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Take out and put ham and cheese in middle, then top with tomatoes that are left. Bake an additional 20 minutes. Serve.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Meatloaf.
