Sicilian meat loaf
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- snipped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- tomato juice - 1/2 c
- Mozzarella cheese - 1 item
- dried oregano - 1/2 tsp
- ground chuck - 2 lb
- clove garlic minced - 1 item
- ham slices - 1 item
How to make sicilian meat loaf:
Combine the eggs and tomato juice. Stir all ingredients except ground chuck, ham and cheese, into the egg mixture. Add the ground chuck and mix well. Put onto waxed paper to form a 10 x 8-inch rectangle. Arrange ham slices on meat and Mozzarella cheese on top. Start from short end and roll up. Place roll seam down in pan. Bake at 350° for 1 1/4 hours. Overlap cheese on top of meat and put back in oven to melt.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Meatloaf.
