Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- water
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- paprika - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- white wine vinegar - 4 Tbsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- coarse salt - 1 item
- oregano - 1/4 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 c
- ground cumin - 1/4 tsp
- green pepper, chopped - 2 Tbsp
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- celery - 1/2 c
- slices bacon, chopped and fried - 4 item
- rice raw - 1 c
- shrimp raw, peeled and deveined - 1 qt
- dried red chili pepper, seeded and crumbled - 1/2 item
- cloves garlic, mashed put through press - 2 item
- shark or swordfish, cut in 1-inch cubes - 3/4 lb
How to make shrimp pilau:
In small bowl, combine vinegar, paprika, chili pepper, oregano, cumin, thyme, salt, garlic and water. Place fish in shallow bowl with bay leaf. Pour marinade over; leave for several hours at room temperature. Stir occasionally. Drain fish on paper towel. Sprinkle with salt; dust with flour. Heat oil (at least 1/2-inch deep).
