Ingredients/Components

  • butter or margarine - 1/3 c
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • snipped parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • sliced fresh mushrooms - 1 c
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
  • dry white wine - 2 Tbsp
  • cloves garlic - 2 item
  • dried basil - 1/2 tsp
  • linguine - 6 oz
  • sliced onion - 1/4 c
  • shrimp in shells - 1 lb

How to make shrimp linguine:

Cook linguine and drain. Cook shrimp in lightly salted boiling water until pink; drain and cool. Carefully remove from shell. Devein shrimp, if desired.

In a 3-quart microwave-safe casserole, combine mushrooms, butter, onion and garlic. Microcook, covered, on High for 2 to 3 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in shrimp, Parmesan cheese, parsley, wine, basil and pepper. Microcook, uncovered, on High for 30 seconds or until heated through. Add linguine and toss to mix. Serve immediately. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serves 4.
