Ingredients/Components
- vegetable oil - 1 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- sliced fresh mushrooms - 1 c
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- minced fresh ginger - 1 tsp
- cooked rice, chilled - 2 c
- sliced green onions including tops - 1/3 c
- cooked shrimp, cut in small pieces
How to make shrimp fried rice:
In a large skillet or wok, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, onion and ginger; stir-fry for 1 minute. Push vegetables aside. Pour egg into skillet and scramble. Stir in rice and gently, separate grains. Add shrimp and soy sauce; stir until thoroughly heated. This kitchen tested recipe makes 4 servings.
