Shrimp etouffee
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 2 c
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- cans chicken broth - 2 1/2
- basil - 1 tsp
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- cayenne - 1/2 tsp
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped green onion - 1 c
- bay leaves - 2 item
- celery - 1 c
- chopped bell pepper - 1 c
- Season-All - 1 tsp
- crushed garlic cloves - 5 item
- peeled shrimp - 3 4
- small can stewed tomatoes - 1 item
How to make shrimp etouffee:
Make a roux, medium brown, of the first two ingredients. Keep stirring until brown, 20 minutes. Add to roux the onions, celery and garlic. Add canned tomatoes, mixing well. Add chicken broth and water. Add spices while simmering. Let simmer 1 hoRecipe categories: Main dish, Shrimp, Crab.
