Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1 Tbsp
  • melted butter - 3 Tbsp
  • diced green pepper - 1/4 c
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • minced onion - 1/4 c
  • diced celery - 1/2 c
  • cooked shrimp
  • cooked rice
  • Worcestershire - 1/4 tsp
  • canned tomatoes
  • small sprig parsley - 1 item

How to make shrimp creole:

Saute green pepper, onion and celery in butter until tender, about 5 minutes. Add flour and blend. Add tomatoes gradually; stir constantly. Add salt, pepper, sugar, bay leaf and parsley. Cook gently 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf and parsley. Add shrimp and Worcestershire sauce. Heat. Serve Shrimp Creole over rice.
