Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1 to
- bay leaf - 1 item
- curry powder - 1/8 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- tomato paste - 3 Tbsp
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- cooked rice - 1 item
- cans stewed tomatoes - 2 oz
- large green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- bacon drippings - 4 Tbsp
- shrimp, boiled and peeled - 2 3
- Louisiana Creole seasoned salt - 1 item
How to make shrimp creole:
Slowly cook celery, onion and green pepper in bacon drippings until light brown (about 15 to 20 minutes). Add bay leaf, tomatoes, tomato paste and sugar. Mix well. Add salt, pepper, curry powder and a generous sprinkle of Louisiana Creole seasoned salt. Cook very slowly for 30 to 45 minutes. Add shrimp and heat thoroughly.
