Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 3 c
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • onion, chopped - 2 c
  • green pepper, chopped - 1 c
  • celery, chopped - 1 c
  • cayenne pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • garlic, minced - 2 tsp
  • peeled shrimp - 3 lb
  • whole tomatoes - 2 c

How to make shrimp creole:

Heat oil and saute pepper, onion, celery and garlic. Add tomatoes, water and seasonings. Simmer 15 minutes. Add shrimp and simmer 15 minutes more. Add cornstarch. Serve on rice.
