Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- red wine vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- catsup - 1/4 c
- chopped onions - 1/4 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- strips bacon - 4 item
- can whole tomatoes - 1 oz
- raw shrimp, peeled and deveined - 1 lb
How to make shrimp creole:
Fry bacon. Drain, crumble and reserve. Add onion and green pepper to bacon drippings and saute until tender. Add rest of ingredients, except shrimp, and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes. When ready to serve, add shrimp and simmer about 10 minutes. Do not overcook; serve over white rice and sprinkle with crumbled bacon.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
