Ingredients/Components
- uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined - 2 lb
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- small bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
- celery, chopped - 1/2 c
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- chili powder - 2 tsp
- dashes hot sauce - 4 item
- tomato juice - 1 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
How to make shrimp creole:
Saute onion, pepper and celery in oil. Add flour; stir until smooth. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, juice and seasonings. Simmer 15 minutes. Add shrimp. Cover and simmer 45 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
