Ingredients/Components

  • uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined - 2 lb
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • small bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • celery, chopped - 1/2 c
  • salad oil - 1/2 c
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • chili powder - 2 tsp
  • dashes hot sauce - 4 item
  • tomato juice - 1 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • can tomatoes - 1 oz

How to make shrimp creole:

Saute onion, pepper and celery in oil. Add flour; stir until smooth. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, juice and seasonings. Simmer 15 minutes. Add shrimp. Cover and simmer 45 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles.
