Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • chopped celery - 1/2 c
  • chili sauce - 1/4 c
  • black pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • bell pepper - 1/2 c
  • tomatoes - 2 c
  • slices bacon - 4 item
  • boiled shrimp - 1 lb
  • shakes Tabasco - 4 item

How to make shrimp creole:

Fry bacon; remove from pan to drain. Put onion, celery and bell pepper in bacon fat; brown lightly. Add tomatoes, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, Tabasco sauce and salt. Cook slowly until thick, stirring occasionally. Add shrimp 30 minutes before serving. Break bacon into small pieces; add last. Go by taste; add more seasoning if needed. (One little pinch of sugar helps.)
