Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- oil - 1/4 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chopped green onion - 1 c
- cooked rice - 4 c
- cayenne pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped garlic - 1 tsp
- shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 bay leaves - 1 item
- to 7 chopped tomatoes - 6 item
How to make shrimp creole:
Heat oil until it smokes. Add onion, pepper, celery and garlic. Cook over medium heats until veggies are limp, but do not brown. Stir in water, tomatoes, salt, pepper, cornstarch, shrimp and bay leaves. Reduce and simmer 35 to 40 minutes. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
