Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 c
- chopped onion
- snipped parsley - 2 tsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- hot cooked rice - 3 c
- finely chopped celery - 1 c
- cayenne red pepper - 1/8 tsp
- bay leaves, crushed - 2 item
- fresh or frozen cleaned raw shrimp - 1 lb
- medium green peppers, chopped fine - 2 item
How to make shrimp creole:
Cook and stir onion, celery, green pepper and garlic in butter until onion is tender. Remove from heat. Stir in tomato sauce, water and seasonings. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes. Add water, if needed. Stir in shrimp. Heat to boiling. Cover and cookRecipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
