Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 item
- salt - 1 item
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1 item
- 4 oz - 1 lb
- clove garlic - 1 item
- basil - 1 item
- cooked shrimp - 1 lb
- rice, cooked - 3 c
- thin strips green pepper - 1/3 c
- thin strips onion - 1/4 c
How to make shrimp creole:
Melt butter in 10-inch skillet over low heat. Add garlic, onion and green pepper. Stir often; cook until onion is yellowed. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste, a pinch of sugar and basil. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally and partly breaking up tomatoes. Slice each shrimp in half, lengthwise, and add. Reheat.
