Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/3 c
- dry white wine - 1/3 c
- olive oil - 1/4 c
- tomato puree - 1/2 c
- liquid red pepper seasoning - 1 to
- chicken bouillon - 1/2 c
- celery stalks, thinly sliced - 2 item
- large chopped onions - 2 item
- sweet green peppers, chopped
- large shrimp, shelled - 2 lb
How to make shrimp creole:
Saute pepper, onions and celery in butter and oil in a large pot uncovered until tender. Stir in chicken broth and tomato puree. Bring to boiling, lower heat and simmer 15 minutes.Add Worcestershire sauce, wine, red pepper seasoning and salt. Simmer 5 minutes. Add shrimp, simmer 10 minutes more. Serve with rice and sprinkle with chopped parsley, if desired.
